As Chairman of the Tamahere Community Committee I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as a rate payer or resident of Tamahere.
Our new digital home marks an exciting chapter in our journey together, a virtual space where our voices unite and resonate for the betterment of our community.
This site has come about as a result of the recent retirement of Pip Stevenson, a long time journalist and servant to our community. Our Committee and our ratepayers would like to thank Pip for the sterling job she has done over the years and we wish her all the best for the future.
We proudly inaugurate the tamahereforum.org as a platform designed to keep you informed, engaged, and empowered. Here, we will diligently post committee notices, urgent calls to action catalysed by District Council notifications, and crucial updates pertaining to matters of significance for us, committed ratepayers. It is worth noting our commitment to meaningful communication excludes the realm of social media; we are dedicated to fostering a direct and authentic connection with you.
With some 9,000 residents, our community stands strong, each voice relevant and with purpose at a time when major changes are occurring all around us.
Signing up to receive our emails, means you ensure you can be directly informed about matters of the utmost importance in our ward twice a month. We respect your time and will endeavour to keep our communications streamlined, relevant, and impactful.
We are maintaining the original email list, created by Pip, and are now extending a 'Sign Up' facility via this web-site.
As stewards of equitable rates distribution and as fervent advocates for our collective needs, we take pride in liaising with the Waikato District Council and ratepayers. Our influence rests in unity, in representing your needs and desires, and perhaps, most importantly, standing as the very embodiment of participatory democracy.
'The strength of a community lies in the engagement of its members; here, your engagement is your empowerment'.
Welcome to our community digital haven, where your voice is heard, your concerns matter, and our community flourishes through shared vision and purpose.
Warm regards
Charles Fletcher - Chairman, Tamahere Community Committee
