Tamahere Community Open Day

Tamahere Community Centre
21 Devine Road, Tamahere
Residents are being encouraged to mark Sunday 14 June in their diaries as the Tamahere Community Committee hosts its second Community Open Day at the Tamahere Community Centre.
The event follows the success of the inaugural Open Day held in January, which attracted more than 600 residents keen to learn about local projects, ask questions, and engage with community leaders. Organisers are hoping for another strong turnout as a range of important topics affecting Tamahere's future come under the spotlight.
Running from 2.00pm to 5.00pm at the Tamahere Community Centre on Devine Road, the Open Day will provide residents with an opportunity to meet neighbours, hear directly from local decision-makers, and contribute their views on a number of significant issues. The Mayor and Chief Executive Officer will be attending to share information and answer questions.
Topics on the Agenda
Among the topics being discussed is Vision Tamahere 2075, a community-led conversation about what residents would like Tamahere to look like over the next 50 years. Organisers say the initiative is designed to capture local aspirations and help shape future planning for the district.

A Word From the Chair
"One of the strongest messages from January's event was that people want to be informed and involved. This Open Day is about listening as much as sharing information. We encourage everyone to come along, ask questions, and help shape the future of Tamahere."
Charles Fletcher, Tamahere Community Committee Chair
Tamahere Community Committee Chair Charles Fletcher said the Open Day was designed to give residents direct access to information while creating a space for constructive discussion.
Entry is free and all residents are welcome.
